Job Description & RequirementsPsychiatrist - (Psych) Locum TenensStartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day Psychiatrist needed for facility in North Carolina. Provider must have active North Carolina Medicare and Medicaid number for billing. Patients range from children through geriatric ages. Medication management and consults will be the main treatment responsibilities while working with a full support team. Office hours are Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm., need 5 days per week. Clinic has electronic medical records, orientation will be provided. After completing medical school, a psychiatrist must also complete a one year internship and three additional years of specialized training as a psychiatric resident. In the treatment of mental illness, a psychiatrist is licensed to prescribe medication. Some conditions requiring medication include; depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and ADHD.
